What is stress analysis
Pipe stress or piping flexibility analysis is used in the mechanical design and analysis of critical piping systems. A model of a particular piping system is created using specialist software which simulate imposed internal and external pipe loading conditions.
The analysis will produces results in the form of displacements, loads and stresses throughout the system and this analysed information are then compared to limits specified by accepted industry codes and standards.
